The Master of Occupational Therapy program at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) is the only accredited OT program in the State. UMMC’s OT program lasts approximately 36 months and is designed to prepare students for the NBCOT exam. Activities students should expect throughout the program include lecture, practical laboratory sessions and clinical education experiences. Clinical education experiences requires students to temporarily relocate out of state for at least one of the two 12-week clinical sessions, and the other clinical assignment may or may not be within commuting distance from the Jackson metropolitan area.
